NDC vows to make inroads in Kumasi

Kumasi, Feb. 8, GNA – Leaders and party faithful of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kumasi Metropolis, have been urged to work harder in order to increase the party’s votes in the area come 2012. Mr Godwin Della, the Subin Constituency Secretary of the party, who made the call, said even though nine out of the 10 constituency seats in Kumasi are held by the New Patriotic Party (NPP), he was confident that “with commitment, dedication and unity, the NDC can improve on its electoral performance.”

He was speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Kumasi in the Constituency preparation towards the next general elections. Mr Della said it was important for all the party’s supporters in the metropolis to accept to tell the NDC’s success story in its first year in office.

This, he said, would help people to have a better understanding and to appreciate the good works of President Atta Mills’ Administration. He praised Mr Samuel Sarpong, the Kumasi Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE), for his immense contribution towards the development of the party. 8 Feb. 10
