Ho, June 27, GNA – Theophilus Dzimega, who describes himself as a “steadfast member of National Democratic Congress (NDC), has called for the sharpening of the party’s communications machinery to counter post-Congress anti-NDC propaganda.
He said the pre-Congress battle of words within the NDC was being recycled in various forms to be used against the party and must be tackled.
Mr Dzimega, 38, a Mining Engineer and Business Consultant was interacting with journalists in Ho on Saturday.
He said he supported none of the two factions of the party and that the bickering within the party was a family problem that the party would soon overcome.
Mr Dzimega, past executive member of tertiary wing of the NDC at the School of Mines in the UK and Ireland branches, observed that the Mills administration was doing well but needed to do more to the meet the expectations of the people.
On affairs in Hohoe-North, his home constituency, Mr Dzimega called for a better relationship between the people and their representative in Parliament.
He said communication between the two sides should be fluid and interactions regular for the people to feel that they are part of the party.
He did not answer questions about him contesting the primaries of the party, except to say 93when we get to the river we would know how to cross”.
Mr Dzimega said he had the skills and the track record to contest any position within the party.
