NDC supporters urged to be calm

Bibiani (W/R), Oct. 8, GNA – Mr Ankomah Sarpong, Chairman of the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has advised supporters of the Party in the constituency to avoid acts of violence during electioneering campaigns for Election 2004. He said it was important for the party supporters to be loyal and law-abiding during the period of campaign, even in the face of extreme provocation from their opponents.

Mr Sarpong, who was addressing supporters of the Party at Bibiani, on Tuesday, advised them to resist any temptation of collecting money from their opponents, reminding them that it would amount to their votes being bought.

He urged them to intensify their house-to-house campaign in order to achieve their goal of retaining the seat.

Mr Sarpong also called on the electorate in the constituency to vote for Professor John Atta Mills as the President to bring the country back on course.
