NDC not surprised by Rawlings’ endorsement of Mahama – Segbefia

The deputy Chief of Staff, Alex Segbefia says he believes recent comments by former President Rawlings about the ruling NDC and President Mahama are indicative of his inextricable association with the party.

The former President has been an arch-critic of the party he founded.

But he recently told the Volta regional House of Chiefs that the emergence of President Mahama as the party’s leader has frittered off anxiety and fear of losing the December polls.

Jerry Rawlings however said the government must do more to fight corruption from within.

Speaking on Radio XYZ’s current affairs program “the Analyst”, Deputy Chief of Staff Alex Segbefia said the NDC is not surprised about the remarks of the Former President since that has always been his style.

Alex Segbefia also cautioned members of the NDC to desist from discussing comments of the former President on public platforms.
