NDC holds rally to thank supporters

Accra, Jan. 19, GNA – The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will on Saturday hold a rally at Mantse Agbona in Accra to thank its teeming supporters, sympathizers and members for “the splendid performance” in December 7 general elections.

Mr. Nestor Hoeyi, Press Secretary of the party said the rally, which will start at 2.00 pm will feature key officials of the party, including Prof. John Evans Atta Mills, the party’s presidential candidate in the election and party chairman, Dr Obed Asamoah and Former President Jerry John Rawlings.

President John Agyekum Kufuor polled more than 52 per cent of the votes to win the election in the first round. He was sworn in for his second four-year term.
