NDC – Germany congratulates Mahama

The Communication Directorate of the NDC-Germany has issued a congratulatory message to H.E. President John Dramani Mahama who was pronounced legally elected at the Supreme Court verdict hearing last Thursday, 29th August 2013.

The communiqué release stated, “We (as a unified Body of NDC-Germany) wish to extend our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to you, Your Excellency John Dramani Mahama, for this great national achievement. The success of the Supreme Court verdict over the elections petition is yet another milestone in the consolidation of democracy in Ghana. We believe that your re-affirmation and legal confirmation were neither by share magic nor coincidence, but by your hard work, tolerance, self-discipline and the confidence the Ghanaian populace has in you. As you begin your re-birth term of office, we pray that the Almighty God will continue to shower you with blessings, wisdom, courage and sustained good health for the onerous task ahead”.
The statement further praised Ghanaians for the tremendous co-operation and sense of nationalism during and after the Supreme Court proceedings.

In another development, Mr. Joe Buckman (Chairman of the Hamburg – NDC Branch) used the occasion to commend the NPP petitioners especially Nana Akufo-Addo who, through a nicely delivered message, accepted the court verdict and also showed formal recognition to President Mahama as the Nation’s constitutionally elected President.

We are grateful and proud of you Mr. President and we are assuring you of our unflinching support and encouragement in your tenure.

We believe the court till date has been fair, just and demonstrated respect for rule of law under the very watchful eyes of Ghanaians. We pray and hope that the court will continue to exhibit these good conducts and that they will be led and guided by the fear of God to administer justice, so as to ensure that Ghana remains a peaceful Nation.
Long live the National Democratic Congress (NDC), long live Ghana and may God continue to bless our homeland Ghana.
