NDC DCE Compels Public servants To Fund Party Campaigns

ZAA
News investigations have established that some workers of the Non
Formal Education Division and Zoom Lion in the central Gonja district,
of the northern region have had their salaries deducted to fund the
campaign of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Our
sources cited the District Chief Executive for the area, Sualisu Bi
Awuribei of sanctioning the deduction of Ghc 25 each from Zoom Lion and
Ghc 20 from NFED workers.
When contacted the DCE confirmed the deduction but denied that he ordered it.
He
told ZAA news that it was a decision reached at a departmental heads
meeting to use the funds to contribute to NDC campaigns. When the line
dropped he refused to pick our calls again.
Attempts
to speak to the regional coordinator of Zoon Lion also proved futile
but ZAA News has learnt that the ZOON Lion district monitor in charge of
the central Gonja district, Moro Jato who opposed the deduction has
been transferred to Salaga.
He confirmed the transfer to ZAA News but would not speak any further.
One of the affected workers from Zoom Lion Afa Abdallah also confirmed the
deductions.source ZAA Radio Tamale
