A member of the ruling NDC’s Communications team in the Eastern region Justice Ampofo has committed suicide.
He was found hanging from a mango tree at Koforidua Asokore Tuesday dawn.
It is not yet clear what triggered the action, but sources say Ampofo has been troubled for some time now following his suspicions that his wife is cheating on him.
He was reportedly arrested last year after attacking his wife over the cheating claims. The matter is still pending in court.
Starr News’ Eastern regional correspondent Kojo Ansah reports that a picture of the deceased and his wife was found by the lifeless body.
The body has been deposited at the St. Josephs Hospital morgue.
