Nana Yaa Jantuah resigns from PURC

The Director of Public Relations and External Affairs at the Public Utility Regulatory Commission (PURC) Nana Yaa Jantuah has resigned over allegations of financial embezzlement.

Her resignation takes effect November 11, 2017, according to her resignation letter to the Commission. Prior to announcing her intention to resign, the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) has been probing some past dealing involving Ms. Jantuah and the leadership of the Commission.

“Prior to my resignation, I wish to take all my outstanding leave which is accrue to me as a staff of the Commission starting from 4th of June 2017,” She said in the letter addressed to the Executive Director of PURC, Samuel Sarpong.

It is unclear why Ms. Jantuah, one of the longest serving staff of the regulatory body has thrown in the towel, however, sources are linking her resignation to the ongoing BNI investigation.
