Nana Obranu calls for absolute peace in Ekumfi Traditional Area

Ekumfi-Ayissam (C/R), Nov. 26, GNA – A member of the Ekumfi Traditional Council, Nana Obranu IV, has called on followers of NPP and NDC in the traditional area to exercise restraint in their political activities towards the December 7 presidential and parliamentary elections.

Nana Obranu made the appeal at an emergency meeting with his people at Ekumfi-Ayissam on Thursday.

He also charged other chiefs in the traditional area to ensure that people in the area carry out their rallies, devoid of insults and other acts likely to create confusion in the area.

Nana Obranu stressed that democracy calls for collective planning, mutual understanding and unity among people in the Ekumfi area to enable them to effectively develop the area and not conflicts and insults being witnessed in the in the area.

He charged heads of various families and clans to join the national crusade for peaceful elections, by advising their subjects to comport themselves during and after the elections.
