Nana Kakra warns Dan Botwe to stay off his posters

As the temperature for election 2016 heats up, the aspiring parliamentary candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Okere constituency, Michael Ofori Offei a.k.a Nana Kakra, has called on the incumbent Member of Parliament for the area, Dan Kwaku Botwe, to stop his boys from defacing and removing his posters in some parts of the constituency or face his wrath.

The soft-spoken Nana Kakra stated on Radio Gold’s evening current affairs program dubbed Political Talking Point in a telephone interview that, “I arrested three suspects believed to be members of the NPP and errand boys for the incumbent legislator. I dragged them to the Police Station but for the intervention of their parents, they would have been in cells by now. I promise to take punitive action against anybody caught defacing/removing my posters for the second time.”

The NDC aspirant said it was expensive to print the posters and won’t sit down unconcerned for supporters of his opponent to use disingenuous means to scuttles his efforts.

He said, “I don’t know why the respected Dan Botwe is doing this to me. I had complained to him, but he seemed not to care. If this is the way he and his boys want to go, then am sorry.”

He urged his opponents to engage in clean campaign devoid of acts that could degenerate.

He indicated that the Okere constituency is a peaceful area and will not countenance on deeds that have the potential of creating problems.

“I am in the race to win and pursue policies that would improve the living conditions of the people, and the activities of my opponents and his boys won’t wash, the aspiring MP for Okere stated.

He pointed out that he will give Dan Botwe a good run for his money in the parliamentary elections.

The Eastern regional secretary for the ruling party, Mark Oliver Kevor confirmed the allegations by Nana Kakra but was quick to add that efforts are in place to stop the NPP from using crude methods as campaign tools.

All efforts to get Hon. Dan Botwe to react to the accusations proved futile.

Though not yet voted as MP for the area, Nana Kakra has initiated a lot of developmental projects in the area.
