Nana Addo is “politically dead” – Boakye Gyan

Spokesperson of the former Armed Forces Revolutionary Council, Retired Major Boakye Gyan says the political career of the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2012 elections, Nana Akufo-Addo is over.

According to him, there is no way Akufo-Addo will bounce back as a viable political leader in Ghana.

In an interview with XYZ News, he said it will take a very long time before the opposition NPP can come back to power.

“Akufo-Addo is my classmate and it is a shame for me to pronounce his political obituary. As far as I am concerned he is politically dead and wish him to rest in peace,” Major Boakye Gyan said.

He added that “as he is fond of saying all die be die, may he rest in perfect peace”.

Meanwhile, Boakye Gyan has advised President Mahama to appoint only people who share in his vision irrespective of their political inclinations.

President Mahama has so far appointed 16 people into his government. Major Boakye Gyan said President Mahama must appoint selfless people who believe in the NDC’s ‘Better Ghana Agenda’.
