NAB to publish accredited institutions

The National Accreditation Board (NAB) has indicated that as part of efforts to equip the public with requisite information on institutions and programmes it has accredited, it would from Monday, February 16, 2015, publish all accredited tertiary institutions and the programmes they have been allowed to run in the major newspapers.

In a press statement issued and signed by Kwame Dattey, Executive Secretary, the Board said this is in pursuance of Section 2(2) (c) of the National Accreditation Board Act, 2007 (Act 744) which mandates the Board to publish as it considers appropriate the list of accredited public and private institutions and their programmes at the beginning of each calendar year.

The publication will cover all institutions, public or private and this will begin with the publication of accredited programmes and public universities.

“The general public, especially employers, parents and students, are by this notice informed to be on the lookout for these publications.”
