Muslims urged to look for appearance of the new moon

Accra, Oct 18, GNA – The Office of the National Chief Imam and the Ameer and Missionary In-Charge of the Ahmadiyya Mission in Ghana, on Saturday urged Muslims to look out for the new moon on Friday October 24 2003.

A statement signed by Mr Ustaz A. M. Marzug, Deputy Public Relations Officer for the National Chief Imam, said if the moon were sighted on the day, a special news flash would be issued for the information of Muslims to start the Ramadan fasting.

However, if the moon were not sighted that day, another statement would be issued.
