Muslims urged to ensure peace

Effiakuma (W/R), Sept. 30, GNA – Nasir Ahmad Kahloon, Western Regional Missionary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, on Tuesday called on Muslims to promote peace to prevent people of other religions from having wrong impression about Islam, which means peace. He made the call at the celebration of Eid-Ul-Fitr by Ahmadis in Sekondi-Takoradi, at Effiakuma near Takoradi. Nasir Kahloon asked Muslims to demonstrate peace in word and deed as contained in the Koran.

He urged Muslims to read and study the Koran thoroughly to enable them to understand the tenets and practices of Islam. Nasir Kahloon said the lessons of Ramadan should urge Muslims to work towards free, fair and peaceful elections in December. He said Muslims should be prepared to sacrifice their “Rights” for the sake of peace and prosperity of the country and advised them to be law abiding.
