Accra, Jan. 6, GNA-Sheikh Dr. Amin Bonsu, Deputy Chief Imam, Ghana Muslim Mission, has called on Muslims to be peaceful, helpful and law abiding wherever they go.
He noted that there was a growing perception that Muslims engaged in anti-social vices but the religion Islam stood for peace and progress. Shiekh Bonsu, who is also the Chief Executive of the Amen Scientific Herbal Hospital, made the call in an interview with Ghana News Agency in Accra on Wednesday.
He called on the youth to be law-abiding and urged them to desist from the get-rich-quick attitude and to shun cyber fraud popularly known as ‘Sakawa’.
The Deputy Chief Imam urged them to strive for excellence in whatever they do and to work hard for the development of the country. He commended the government for organizing a successful Hajj last year devoid of difficulties. Sheikh Bonsu expressed the hope that problems associated with the Hajj would be a thing of the past and called on the Muslims to show their appreciation to the government. 06 Jan 10
