Mrs Akufo-Addo receives PPAG delegation to discuss new initiative

First Lady Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo has received a delegation from the Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG) to among other issues, discuss an upcoming initiative to be funded by the government of Japan.

In conjunction with the Japanese Organization for International Co-operation in Family Planning (JOICEP), PPAG is set to execute a new project in the field of sexual and reproductive health in the country. Leader of the PPAG delegation, Kweku Brenu, who is the Chairman of International Planned Parenthood Federation said the project would require the services of result-oriented and committed individuals with the requisite expertise to fill in vacancies under the project.

The delegation requested the full support of the office of the first lady to enable them achieve the goals and objectives of the project. Mrs Akufo-Addo said she was honoured to receive the delegation, noting the PPAG has has good record as far as the execution of philanthropy activities that aim at ensuring both human and economic development. She assured the PPAG of her full support and promised to work together with them to make the project come to fruition.
