Mpasaso Health Centre to benefit from improved services

Mpasaso (Ash), Jan 7, GNA- The Ghana Health Service (GHS) will soon send a medical assistant to man the Mpasaso Health Centre in the Ahafo-Ano South District.

Dr Edward Tagoe, the District Director of Health Services, said this when he presented a set of furniture to the centre. The centre is currently being manned by only one midwife and supporting staff.

Dr Tagoe said until the medical assistant assumes duty in March he would visit the centre twice every month to assist the midwife. He also said as part of measures to facilitate work of the staff at the centre to enable them to reach out to other communities, a vehicle would soon to be assigned to the centre.

Nana Tabiri Gyansah III, Paramount Chief of the Mpasaso Traditional Area, who received a set of furniture on behalf of the centre, commended the GHS for its assistance and said the community has a house ready for the medical assistant.

Nana Gyansah gave the assurance that he and his elders would provide fuel for the vehicle in times of emergencies.
