MP inaugurates School at Bogoso

Bogoso (W/R), Nov 15, GNA – Mr Albert Kwaku Obbin, Member of Parliament for Prestea Huni Valley, has inaugurated a block of two classrooms, office and staff common room valued at 145 million cedis at Bogoso in the Wassa West District.

The classrooms were built out of the MP’s share of the HIPC fund. Addressing the gathering, the MP said he has procured some computers for the community library that is yet to be inaugurated. The outgoing headmistress of the school, Madam Mary Gladys Odoom, said the school was first built with bricks and roofed with palm fronds and because of that the pupils had to cut palm fronds every two weeks. Miss Odoom said upon the request made to the Methodist Church, children’s harvest was organized and the proceeds were used to lay foundation for the school. She acknowledged the assistance of African Explosives Limited (AEL).
