More Ghanaians arrive from Libya

Four hundred and forty seven more Ghanaians have arrived in the country from Libya.

They are the third batch to arrive following the outbreak of violence between Libyan Nationals and immigrants from some African Countries. The latest arrival brings the total of returnees from Libya to 1,139. A statement from the National Disaster Management Organisation said all the returnees have been sent to their various destinations and that other returnees are expected within the next eight days. It asked that all those whose luggage are not yet in should exercise patience as they will be duly informed as soon as they arrive.

The evacuation of Ghanaians from Libya comes as a result of the outbreak of violence between Libyans and citizens of other African countries resident there.
