MOBA ’91 donates to hospital

Cape Coast, Sept. 25, GNA – The 1991 year group of Mfantsipim Old Boys Association (MOBA) on Saturday donated assorted items including food, detergents, towel holders, fruits, hand sanitizers and soap worth GH¢10,000 to the Children’s Ward of Cape Coast Metropolitan Hospital.

Mr Charles Lokko, President of MOBA ’91 who presented the items on behalf of the group said it is the tradition of the school old boys to as part of its social responsibilities to give back to society.

He expressed the hope that the donation would help put smiles on the faces of children at the ward.

The presentation forms part of the activities marking the 135th speech and prize-giving day of the school which comes off in November, this year with sponsorship from the 1961, ’71, ’81 and ’91 year groups.

Mr Lokko appealed to the public to patronise tickets on sale for a dinner dance to raise funds to complete a bio-gas project being constructed by the year group for the school.

A staff nurse at the ward, Cynthia Dede Teye who received the items expressed gratitude to the old boys for the gesture and called on them to support the ward to upgrade its facilities.
