Ministers Car in Accident -2 Dead

Two people have been confirmed dead after a vehicle belonging to Communications Minister Haruna Iddrisu crashed headlong into an articulator truck.

Two others sustained various degrees of injuries and are assisting the Northern Regional police command in investigations.

Mr Haruna Iddrisu was not in the vehicle when the accident occurred early Saturday morning at a town in the Central Gonja district of the Northern Region.

Northern Regional Police PRO Inspector Ebenezer Tetteh said the police were informed about the accident around 6am involving the minister’s Toyota Land Cruiser with registration number GR 9282 Z and the articulator truck with the registration number GT 7709 T.

He said the bodies have been deposited at the Tamale Teaching Hospital.
