Minister consoles disaster struck DCE

Alhaji Limuna Mohammed-Muniru, Northern Regional Minister and some District Chief Executives (DCEs) in the region have visited Alhaji Alhassan Fuseini, Gushegu DCE whose house got burnt to solidarise with him.

The residence of the DCE located in Chogu-Yapalisi, a suburb of Tamale got burnt in December last year and killed his eight-year-old daughter.

Alhaji A.B.A. Fuseini, Deputy Regional Minister and National Disaster Management Organisation officials also accompanied the Minister who assured the DCE and family of the support of Northern Regional Coordinating Council (NRCC).

“Our mission here this morning is to console you and to see what support we can offer you to quickly rebuild the house for the family to move in and to alleviate your plight,” Alhaji Mohammed-Muniru said.

He said what befell the DCE and his family could happen to anyone hence the need for the NRCC and DCEs in the region to contribute to support their colleague to resettle.

NADMO donated four packets of roofing sheets and some relief items while the NRCC and the DCEs presented undisclosed amount to Alhaji Fuseini.

Alhaji Fuseini, expressed gratitude to the NRCC and his colleagues for the gesture saying: “You have really showed me love and I pray that we would continue to show love to one another in difficult times.”
