Mfantseman East NDC holds rally

Ekumfi Ekrawfo (C/R), Dec. 2, GNA – The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Mfantseman East, Mr George Kuntu Blankson has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of enticing the electorate with gifts and loans to vote for them in Election 2004. Mr Kuntu Blankson said if NPP had performed so well as they had been trumpeting there would not have been any need for them to entice the electorate and urged the electorate to see their action as a failure to address their problems and reject them.

He was addressing a rally at Ekumfi Ekrawfo.

The Parliamentary Candidate cautioned the electorate not to allow the loans, gifts of money and party T-shirts to influence them to vote for NPP, “a government that has worsened your living conditions through unrealistic economic policies”.

He said voting for NDC would get the electorate out of abject poverty and their living conditions would improve.

Mr Kobena Owusu, an opinion leader from Otuam, appealed to the people not to allow sweet but vain promises sway their sense of judgement. Mr Kuntu Takyi, Constituency Chairman, advised members of the Party, especially their polling agents, to be vigilant on Election Day.
