Methodist Reverend Minister involved in an accident

Brakwa, March 15, GNA – Very Reverend Mercy E. Osei Superintendent Minister in-charge of Brakwa Circuit of the Methodist Church of Ghana and six others received injuries when a Pick up belonging to the church collided with a taxi at Breman Fosuansa near Breman Asikuma on Tuesday. All the five passengers on board the pick-up were admitted at the Breman Asikuma Catholic hospital.

Very Rev. Osei and Miss Dinah Opoku a trader from Agona Nkum in critical condition were transferred to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.

Miss Grace Amporful, 19, an apprentice seamstress was referred to the Cape Coast Central hospital while Mr Charles Kobina Baiden, Circuit Steward and John Acquah, the driver were still on admission at the hospital.

Two out of the five passengers on board the taxi were treated and discharged at the hospital while Kofi Ayesu, the taxi driver is helping the police in investigations. An eyewitness account said the pick-up was travelling from Asikuma to Accra when the accident occurred.
