Meteo announces major rainy season ahead

Accra, March 20, GNA – The Upper East, Upper West, Northern, Brong Ahafo Regions and the northern half of the Volta Regions are expected to experience near average rainfall during the main rainy season, which is July to September, the Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMA) announced on Monday.

A statement signed by Mr F. P. Mote, Director-General of GMA, said areas of the Middle Sector, Western, Ashanti, Eastern and Central Regions excluding the eastern coast would have an average to above average amounts of rainfall during April to June.

For areas of Coastal Ghana from Central to Volta Regions, average amounts of rainfall are expected from April to June.
