Metalex Company supports victims of N/R rainstorm

Metalex Group Companies has presented 100 bundles of roofing sheets worth GH?18,000 to National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) to support victims who were affected by the recent rainstorm in the Northern Region.

Presenting the items, Mr Yaw Adjare-Danquah, General Manager of Metalex, said the donation formed part of the company’s corporate social responsibility to assist victims of such disasters.

He said the donation was aimed at helping NADMO to provide the needed support to victims whose houses were destroyed by the storm.

The Northern Region has over the past few weeks been hit by several rainstorms rendering over 10, 000 people homeless and five reported deaths.

The deaths include four people who were crushed by a tree that fell during the rainstorm.

Receiving the item, Mr Ebenezer Dosu, Deputy National Coordinator of NADMO, said the roofing sheets would be used to roof schools which have been affected to enable students go back school.

He thanked Metalex Company for their kind gesture and called on others to emulate the good example to help alleviate the pain the affected victims are going through.
