MASLOC CEO resigns

Mrs. Sedina Tamakloe-Attionu the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) has resigned her position as CEO of the centre.

Insider report say the CEO resigned her position last Friday January 6, ahead of the swearing -in and inauguration of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the fifth president of the Republic of Ghana.

Mrs Attionu had been CEO of the centre since 2009 when the late president John Fifi Atta-Mills assumed power.

The MASLOC office at the plush Cantonments area of Accra has been under the auspices of the president since it was created under the first New Patriotic Party admninistration led by ex-president John Agyekum Kufour.

She has a B. Pham (Hons) degree from the University of Science and Technology and a MSC in International Retail Marketing from the University of Surrey, Guilford, UK.

Mrs. Attionu has over 20 years proven experience in varying roles throughout her career particularly in general management, project planning and management, and in executing marketing activity against financial and marketing return on investment objectives. She has been involved in advocacy with governments and other international agencies and has managed diverse and multi-functional teams with varying skills set.

She believes that rights based approach through strengthening the poor and marginalized communities to advocate on their own behalf by helping build their capacity through networks and movements.

She is member of the Board of Directors of both government and private sector institutions.She emerged and contested as the first female candidate to contest for NDC parliamentary candidate in the Anyaa Sowutuom Constituency
