Man charged for causing harm

Sekondi, Nov 10, GNA- Kwasi Boamah, a car washer at Effia near Takoradi, was on Monday arraigned before a Sekondi Circuit Court for stabbing a teacher.

He pleaded not guilty to causing harm and is to re-appear on November 25.

Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Ben Wonkyi, said on November two, the complainant, Sulemana Abubakari, a teacher, attended an entertainment programme at Sky FM at Fijai.

He said Abubakari was going home in the company of friends when Boamah approached Abubakari and asked him why he allowed a friend to touch the buttocks of his girlfriend.

Inspector Wonkyi said Abubakari was about to explain the matter when Boamah pounced on him and assaulted him.

He said Boamah drew an object from his pocket and stabbed the complainant at the back and on the right thigh.

Inspector Wonkyi said the accused took to his heels when he saw the complainant bleeding but was later arrested.
