Mallam Issa Undergoes Surgery

The jailed former Youth and Sports Minister, Mallam Yusif Issa has undergone a successful surgery at the Police Hospital. He has been on admission at the hospital for the past four weeks.

When JOY FM’s Kofi Abotsie visited him on Wednesday afternoon, he looked fine. The hospital authorities did not disclose the ailment that necessitated the surgery but said Mallam Issa’s health is improving. He will be discharged soon.

Mallam Issa is serving a four-year jail sentence for misplacing an amount of $46,000 meant for the senior national team, the Black Stars.
