Mahama will never kowtow to Rawlings’ demands – Ephson

Pollster Ben Ephson says he doubts President Mahama will pander to the conditions of former President Rawlings contingent upon which the Founder will fully reconcile with the ruling Party.

Mr. Rawlings outlined a list of concerns that he wishes that the President will deal with ahead of the December polls.

Among the issues he raised at the Party’s Congress in Kumasi on Thursday include the need for President Mahama to purge his government of what he described as “babies with hard teeth” and also restore “integrity and dignity” to the Presidency, the government and the Party.

But Pollster Ben Ephson in an interview with XYZ News said Mr. Rawlings shouldn’t expect President Mahama to be puppeted around.

The next three weeks will be a make or break for the NDC. Definitely council of elders will have to meet and call the two together but don’t think that President Mahama is going to be bullied by having a presidency being run a certain person.

Meanwhile, a political Science Lecturer with the University of Ghana and the University of Education Prof Gilbert Bluway in an interview with XYZ News said the healing process between Mr. Rawlings and the party will be made a lot easier if the founder’s conditions are fulfilled.
