Mahama nominates three persons as DCEs

President John Dramani Mahama, in accordance with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and section 20(1) of the Local Government Act, (Act 462), has nominated the following persons as District Chief Executives (DCEs).

They are Mr Basiera Saankara, Wa West District Assembly; Mr George Foahteye Agat Matey-Teye, Ada West District Assembly; and Mr James Bakalatob, Kintampo South District Assembly.

A statement signed by the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Alhaji Collins Dauda, and issued to the Ghana News Agency on Friday, requested the regional ministers of the afore-mentioned assemblies to facilitate the process of confirmation of the nominated DCEs.

“By copy of this letter, the Chairman of the Electoral Commission is requested to conduct their confirmation,” the statement said.
