Mahama appoints new Chief Fire Officer

President John Mahama has appointed Dr Albert Brown Gaisie as the new Chief Fire Officer, a statement from the presidency has noted.

Until his elevation, Dr Gaisie was the director in charge of operations of the Ghana National Fire Service.

He takes over from Brigadier General John Bosco Guyiri, who has been in acting capacity since 2013.

Dr. Gaisie served as a Regional Commander of Greater Accra, Ashanti and Eastern Regions.

He has also served in various capacities in the Ghana National Fire Service as the Director of Rural Fires, the Director of Research, Development and Monitoring
