Mahama addresses CHOGM today

President John Mahama will Sunday morning address the concluding press conference to close the 2015 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Malta.

The three-day meeting on the theme ‘Adding Global Value’ discussed a number of issues including Sustainable Development, Climate Change, Peace & Security, Good Governance, Migration, Polio Eradication among others. The panel for the press conference will also include the Prime Minister of Malta, Prime Minister of Barbados and the Commonwealth Secretary General.

While in Malta, President Mahama also participated in a meeting of the Small CHOGM Action Group on Anti-Corruption and held a number of bilateral meetings.

He is being accompanied by the First Lady, Mrs. Lordina Dramani Mahama and the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hanna S. Tetteh (MP).

From Malta, Mahama will travel to Paris, France for the 21st Conference of the Parties (COP 21) of the UN Conference on Climate Change.
