LIVESTREAMING: Election declaration – Nana Akufo-Addo speaks

The NPP Flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo is tonight addressing the media on electoral issues some 15 hours after yesterday’s polls.

The official release and subsequent declaration of election results by the Electoral Commission after the just ended voting exercise have unusually delayed, sparking a lot of controversy.

The Electoral Commission has attributed the delays to what they describe as ‘several possible instances of overvoting’ nationwide, a situation that has compelled them to ‘review all results from the collation centers which will be verified against the physical pink sheets from the polling stations’.

Emerging provisional results suggest a lead by the NPP in the Presidential elections, all are however waiting for the final and official declaration of the election results by the Electoral Commission.
