Liberian President signs Mills’ book of condolence

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Johnson on Monday visited the Ghanaian Embassy in Monrovia purposely to sign the Book of Condolence of the fallen Ghanaian leader, Prof. John Evans Atta Mills, who met his sudden death on Tuesday, July 24, 2012.

President Sirleaf Johnson told journalists after the signing that she would forever remember her fallen colleague for his humility and intellect.

“His humility and intellect – in all of our meetings, those two characteristics stood out,” President Sirleaf noted.

She extended her deepest sympathy to all Ghanaians and applauded the West African nation for the peaceful transition of power.

“Even as we mourn his loss, we know that Ghana will continue on the path of development and peace,” the Liberian leader asserted.
