LG Electronics expresses worry about fake brands in Ghana

Accra, March 31, GNA – Mr Jae Young Lee, Managing Director of LG Electronics in Africa, has expressed concern about the entry of fake LG products into the country by unauthorised distributors. He said the company has therefore outlined a strategy to stop the illegal entry of the fake products since they did not give real value for=

the money spent on them.

Mr Lee who is currently on a visit to Ghana to hold discussions with=

Somotex Ghana limited, a local agent dealing in LG products said Ghana occupied an important position in the growth plan of LG Electronics in Africa.

“We are taking steps that our presence here is more comprehensive wit= h a view to be able to service all segments of the Ghanaian populace.” Mr Lee said the LG brand had products that have been manufactured to=

suit the tropical weather condition and designed specifically for the African Market and offered a pan-African warranty service on all products= .. He said LG would continue to produce quality products to meet custom= er’s satisfaction.
