Less Endowed Schools need assistance – Ntim-Adjei

Wamahinso (B/A), April 9, GNA – Mr Jacob Buabeng Ntim-Adjei, Headmaster of Gyamfi Kumanini Senior Secondary School at Wamahinso in the Asutifi District, has stressed the need to equip less endowed schools in rural areas with logistics.

This, he said, would not only ensure quality education for majority of children in rural communities, but would also enable the schools to help unearth the hidden talents of students for growth and development. Mr Ntim-Adjei made the call when he addressed members of the Church of Grace International Women’s Fellowship at their Annual Retreat at Wamahinso.

The four-day retreat, which was attended by more than 250 members, had “Marriage” as its theme.

He advised parents to complement the efforts of teachers by taking good care of their wards to bring out the best in them. The Headmaster also appealed to parents in the district to enrol their children in the school.

Pastor Ruth Kusi-Amoah, National President of the Women’s Fellowship of the Church, expressed concern about indiscipline in the society and blamed it on bad parenting. Pastor Kusi-Amoah advised couples to remain faithful to their partners.

She advised married members of the Fellowship to support their husbands and to love and respect and to care for their children. The National President also urged the youth to abstain from pre-marital sex and to avoid the deadly HIV/AIDS disease. Nana Adjei Twumasi II, Chief of Wamahinso, reminded Ghanaians to see themselves as one people with a common destiny, and not to engage in negative and divisive tendencies that could disturb the peace and stability of the nation.
