Ledzokuku NDC elects parliamentary candidate for 2004 elections

Teshie, Feb. 8, GNA – Mr Nii Nortey Dua, a Journalist and Commentator was on Saturday elected the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Ledzokuku constituency for the 2004 elections at Teshie near Accra.

He was returned unopposed at the party’s Ledzokuku primaries supervised by officials of the Electoral Commission.

In an acceptance speech, Mr Dua appealed to party members to forget their past differences and work together as one family to win back the seat from the New Patriotic Party in the forthcoming elections. He urged members to register en-masse when the voter registration exercise opens next month, saying: “That would lay a solid foundation for the campaign for election 2004.”

He expressed his gratitude to the national and regional executives of the party for endorsing his candidature.
