Learner driver and instructor involved in accident.

Tema, Feb 01, GNA – A female learner driver and her instructor, also a woman who were involved in an accident on the Tema Hospital road, have been granted 20 million cedis bail each by the Tema circuit court ‘A’. Victoria Addo-Noi and Joyce Quarshie pleaded not guilty and will reappear on February 9.

Inspector Adolphus Otchere, prosecuting, told the court that on June 2, 2004, Victoria was learning to drive with a Mitsubishi Lancer under the supervision of Joyce.

On reaching a section of the road at Community 10 junction, while negotiating to enter the main hospital road, the learner lost control of the steering wheel and hit another vehicle. The two accused persons were injured and were taken to the Narh-Bita Hospital where they were treated and discharged.
