Late Mills didn’t ‘will’ Flagstaff House to Mahama – NPP Treasurer

The treasurer for the Cape Coast North constituency of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Stephen Kojo Arhin has charged the former President, John Dramani Mahama to be grateful to God for the success chalked in government from the local level through to the presidency.

According to him, the former president has passed through the stages of governance by being an Assemblyman, Member of Parliament (MP), Deputy Minister, Vice President as well as President of the nation and therefore must retire since his predecessor, President John Evans Atta Mills did not will the presidency to him and that Ghanaians are tired of the same old face.

The NPP stalwart who known in politics as Wewebi in an exclusive interview with mynewsgh.com at his residence stated that former President Mahama is wasting his energy and resources with so-called opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) unity walks.

Mr Arhin observed that President Mahama is using the party Unity walk exercise to solicit sympathy votes from his members ahead of the party flagbearership primaries slated for December 2018.

He accused former President Mahama of being the cause of economic hardship currently witnessed by Ghanaians which resulted in his massive defeat to the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

According to the NPP treasurer, due to former president, Mahama’s inability to create jobs for the youth some 168 Ghanaians who were detained in Libya for illegal migration had no option than leaving their home country to seek greener pastures in the Arab country.

He lauded President Nana Addo for his marvelous initiatives of “One district one factory policy” that, according to him, will ease the unemployment situation in the country by creating more jobs for youth to enable them stay in their country and work.
