Lands Commission equips Regional Registry

Sunyani (B/A) Aug. 20, GNA – The Lands Commission has procured a six-million-cedi (6,000,000.00) stamping machine for the Brong-Ahafo Regional Registry of the Commission to minimize and shorten long processes of land transaction in the region.

At a brief handing-over ceremony in Sunyani on Friday, Osahene Kwaku Aterkyi II, Omanhene of Kukoum Traditional Council reiterated the need to provide the Registry with the necessary equipments to enable it to function effectively.

Osahene Aterkyi, also chairman of the regional sub committee of the lands Commission, explained that the Region has to transfer the necessary documents to Kumasi, which was delaying the process of land transaction. He expressed the hope that the machine would assist the Commission in the discharge of its duties.

Mr. Ebenezer Kenneth Sam, Regional Valuer of the Land Valuation Board, who received the machine, commended the Commission and gave the assurance that the machine would be used for its intended purpose.
