Kufuor to Deliver Inaugural Lecture

The President of Ghana, (Dr.) John A. Kufuor, will deliver the inaugural lecture for President Olusegun Obasanjo’s second term.

The lecture will hold at the ECOWAS secretariat, Abuja, on Wednesday, May 28, 2003 at 10.00 a.m.

The lecture is part of activities lined up by the 2003 presidential inauguration ceremonies committee headed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief Ufot Ekaette.

Other activities include, Children’s Summit, which will hold on Tuesday May 27, at the International Conference Centre, Abuja and a football match which will also take place at the Abuja Stadium on Friday, May 30, 2003.

Meanwhile, Chief Ufot Ekaette has charged members of the committee to discharge their assignments with a high sense of responsibility.

He said the nation expects them not to fail, bearing in mind that Nigeria would be focused during the inauguration.

Other members of the committee include ministers, the Inspector-General of Police, Ambassador Isa’ac Aluko Olokun, the PDP National Secretary, Prince Vincent Ogbulafor, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Alhaji Yayale Ahmed, Mrs. R.A. Edilli, Mr. Nyaknno Osso, Mr. Tonnie Iredia while Dr. Goke Adegoroye is the Secretary.
