Kufuor meets members of the Council of State

Accra, Dec. 6, GNA – President John Agyekum on Tuesday held a closed-door meeting with Members of the Council of State at the Castle, Osu to review developments in the country during the last quarter of the year.

The meeting comes off at a time when there is intense public furore over some statements attributed to Mr Haruna Esseku, Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the subsequent hyping of the event by sections of the media.

A source told the GNA that the Council that advises the President would likely focus attention on and help the President to think through this and assist him to assure the nation that the ship of State was on an even keel.

The meeting is expected to be last between the President and the Council for the year.
