Kosmos Energy supports GJA

Accra, Oct. 23, GNA – Kosmos Energy, one of the companies involved in the exploration of Ghana’s oil resources, on Thursday presented a cheque for GH¢2,500 to the Ghana Journalists’ Association (GJA) in support of the 13th GJA Awards Night scheduled for October 24. Mr George Sarpong, Corporate Affairs Manager of Kosmos Energy, said the presentation formed part of the company’s commitment to encourage the media to uphold the tenets of good governance and transparency among state institutions.

Mr Sarpong said Kosmos Energy believed in transparency and good governance as key factors that could propel the country to democratic and economic development. He pledged the company’s preparedness to work with the media to enhance good corporate relations. Mr Affail Monney, Vice President of the GJA, said the presentation marked the beginning of a life-long relationship between the GJA and the company.

He said the operations of Kosmos Energy would greatly help to redefine the economic direction of the country.
