Korle-Bu Polyclinic grateful to Accra Mayor

Dr Samuel Asiamah, Director of Medical Affairs of the Korle-Bu Polyclinic, has commended the Metropolitan Chief Executive, Dr Alfred Oko Vanderpuije for supporting the facility.

The Mayor assisted the Polyclinic with GH¢10,000.00 to support the construction of specialized ward and two modern toilet facilities for cholera patients.

He also donated five wheel chairs at the cost of GH¢2,800.00 to the clinic.

Dr Asiamah told the Ghana News Agency in an interview in Accra that the urgent intervention by the Mayor has helped in fighting against the cholera disease.

He gave the assurance that the donation would be used for the intended purpose.

He appealed for the construction of another isolation ward to accommodate patients being transferred from Korle-Bu to the Polyclinic.

Dr Asiamah called on non-governmental organization to support the facility in diverse ways to facilitate the treatment of patients.

Dr Vanderpuije praised the doctors and other health professionals for providing quick health care to the cholera patients and pledged to donate hospital equipment to ease the challenges confronting the hospital.
