Koforidua Hospital blood bank expresses appreciation to school

Koforidua, May 18, GNA – The Assistant Chief Blood Organiser of the Koforidua Regional Hospital, Mr Emmanuel Bonney, has expressed appreciation to the management and students of the Liberty Vocational Institute, Koforidua, for donating 40 pints of blood to the hospital’s blood bank.

The donation was in response to an appeal by the hospital to enable it replenish its stock in preparation for the raining season when the incidence of malaria is expected to be high among children and its attendant increase in the demand for blood from the children’s ward, he said.

Mr Bonney appealed for more voluntary blood donors to donate to the hospital to help save the lives of children and their mothers.
