Killer robbers arrested in B/A

The two robbers who allegedly killed a police officer in November in a shootout at a robbery scene have been nabbed.

The Brong Ahafo police arrested the duo in a passenger bus with registration number GT 8086–10 at Goaso in the Brong Ahafo region upon a tip-off.

The two suspected robbers shot the police officer at Kasoa in the Central region and dashed off to Brong Ahafo for cover.

The Brong Ahafo police regional command gave the names of the suspect as Kweku Badu and Ishmael Ahenkwah.

According to ASP Christopher Tawiah, who is the command’s spokesperson, the two could be charged with murder if investigations establish that they shot the police officer.
