Keta sea Defence To Be Ready In July

The Keta Sea Defence Project will be completed by July next year, seven months ahead of schedule.

Mr. Gary Shack, the Project Manager, disclosed this when the 14-Member Oversight Committee on the project visited the site to get acquainted with the extent of work.

He said that the only impediment likely to slow the pace of work was the delay in relocating over 10,000 inhabitants of Vodza, a settlement in the project area.

The Project Manager said about 60 per cent of the 272.5 hectares contracted to reclaim had been completed with general dredging works about 83 per cent completed.
