Kennedy Osei approved as Deputy Food and Agric Minister

Parliament has approved the Deputy Minister nominee for the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Kennedy Nyarko Osei.

Mr Osei, who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for Akim Swedru replaces William Agyapong Quaitoo who resigned two months ago after allegedly making ethnocentric comments.

Having gone through a successful vetting by the Parliament’s Appointments Committee, the nominee’s fate lay in the hands of the plenary who after debating the report of the committee approved his nomination.

Some MPs after the approval, urged the nominee to be circumspect in his utterances taking a cue from the calamity that befell William Quaitoo.
